Google loses Android battle and could owe Oracle billions of dollars

Analysis: Java use to be owned by Sun Microsystems when it was free sourced for all to use, Google (Android) decided to base the whole operating system on it, Oracle did a sleight of hand deal and acquired Sun which was falling in value and easy to acquire.

Conclusion: Google now owes a few billion in royalty fees to Oracle, Not much change to the Google's market capital, although catered Italian food in the cafeteria might be cut. No change to future open source licensing.
