Analysis: The recent debacle regarding data privacy and facebook is damaging to facebook's  stock market value because of perception issues, untrustworthy perception means lower market value , Regulation is just an added costs to facebook's legal & software expense.  Facebook still owns a few other valuable properties such as whatsapp.
